Fibreglass fabric is a technical textile known for its resistance to temperature. To improve its performance (waterproofing, cut resistance and antistatic properties, for example), it can be treated in a various ways, including aluminium lamination.
This makes it more resistant to radiant heat. It is therefore suitable for specific industrial uses, in particular the manufacture of protective and welding equipment. It has excellent properties of fibreglass, a natural and ecologically pure material, which makes it :
- not harmful to human health or the environment ;
- resistant to chemicals, oils, solvents, vibrations, tearing and corrosion;
- insulating ;
- non-flammable.
The treatment increases its resistance to radiant heat, flame and molten metal splashes. This aluminium-laminated glass fabric is therefore perfect for the manufacture of heat protection equipment.
Applications and variations of this technical fabric
This aluminium-laminated glass fabric is suitable for the manufacture of protective and welding equipment because of its increased resistance to radiant heat. For example, it can be used to manufacture safety glasses, gloves, blankets and fire protection clothing. This technical insulating fabric is also available in several variants. You can choose between :
